Amar Halimanovic

Amar Halimanovic was born in Syracuse, NY and raised in Utica, NY. He attended the Utica Academy of Science from grades 6-12, graduating as salutatorian of the Class of 2021.

Amar went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude from the AACSB-accredited SUNY Polytechnic Institute. He also earned his Master of Business Administration in Technology Management with a 3.97 GPA, finishing both degrees in just 3.5 years by December of 2024. During his studies, he placed 2^nd in the regional Mohawk Valley New York Business Plan Competition and received the Outstanding Graduate Student Marketing Award.

Amar began his professional career in May of 2021 at Parkway Drugs in Utica, NY, working as a pharmacy assistant. In this role, he supported pharmacists and assisted hundreds of customers, ensuring they obtained proper medications in a timely manner. In October of 2023, Amar joined Potentia Management Group LLC in New Hartford, NY, as an account and office manager. He worked closely with CEO of the company to develop sustainability project proposals for businesses and educational institutions across New York State. He also conducted B2B sales statewide, helping clients reduce their operational costs by up to 70% through energy efficiency initiatives. He generated over 200 project proposals and secured more than $150,000 in sustainability project sales. He continues to support Potentia as an independent contractor to this day.

In May of 2025, Amar joined us here at Christopher R. Lambert & Associates as a staff accountant. In this role, he supports tax preparation and accounting services for individuals and businesses. He assists Chris and other accountants at the firm with financial reporting, reconciliation processes, and tax documentation to ensure accuracy and timely compliance.

Outside of work, Amar enjoys playing soccer, going to the gym, spending time with family, and traveling. He even visits Bosnia and Herzegovina every other summer. Amar is eager to help both existing and new clients navigate the upcoming tax season with confidence, providing accurate and reliable tax and accounting support while contributing to the firm’s continued growth.
